As previously announced in the May 27, 2025 Alert, MIAX Futures is preparing for the migration of Minneapolis Hard Red Spring Wheat Futures from CME Globex to the new MIAX Futures Onyx Trading Platform on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

As previously announced in the May 8, 2025 Alert, some Market Participants are required to submit paperwork to the Exchange in order to transact on Onyx. Please carefully read below to determine if you are required to complete any of the paperwork and submit to MIAXFuturesMembership@miaxglobal.com.

Please submit all paperwork by Friday, June 20, 2025 to MIAXFuturesMembership@miaxglobal.com to ensure access to Onyx and/or approval for the PRP by Onyx launch on June 29, 2025:

1. Onyx Direct Access Application – Required for all Market Participants directly connecting to Onyx
   1. Onyx Direct Access Participant Application – All Market Participants directly connecting to Onyx via a cross-connect must complete this Application. Applications submitted after June 20, 2025 may result in delayed access to Onyx. Onyx Direct Access Participant applicants are automatically enrolled in the Preferred Rate Program (described below) and a separate PRP application is not required. 
   2. Direct Access Participant Agreement – Required for all Market Participants directly connecting to Onyx
2. Preferred Rate Program Application – Optional for all Market Participants who are accessing Onyx indirectly via ISV
   1. Preferred Rate Program Application (Optional) – Market Participants may opt to apply for the Preferred Rate Program, which gives those enrolled discounted rates on proprietary trading activity. This program is replacing the legacy MGEX Trading Permit Holder Program. If you are a legacy MGEX TPH, please note that if you do not reapply by June 27, 2025, your Trading Permit Holder status will expire on July 1, 2025 and you will no longer receive the discounted trading fees until the Exchange approves a new Application.
