MIAX Futures Exchange, LLC (“MIAX Futures”), a subsidiary of Miami International Holdings, Inc., is currently looking for a highly motivated full-time Market Regulation Associate Director, Rules & Regulatory Outreach for its Market Regulation Department.

The Market Regulation Associate Director, Rules & Regulatory Outreach will be responsible for protecting the integrity of MIAX Futures’ futures markets by monitoring compliance of the markets with MIAX Futures’ exchange rules and with Commodity Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”) regulations. This role will be tasked with providing associate director level leadership within the MIAX Futures Market Regulation Department. There will be interaction with other commodity markets and regulatory bodies, as well as market participants.  

MIAX Futures Market Regulation is responsible for ensuring MIAX Futures’ compliance with statutory and regulatory provisions associated with operating designated contract markets. Market Regulation personnel preserve the integrity of MIAX Futures’ markets by safeguarding the markets from abuse. To ensure compliance with MIAX Futures’ exchange rules, personnel use surveillance tools and other resources to monitor MIAX Futures’ markets for evidence of abusive, disruptive, or illegal activity; to detect and prevent manipulative behaviors; and to conduct trade practice investigations.

Main responsibilities include

• Ensuring integrity of MIAX Futures markets through exchange rules, policies, procedures.
• Overseeing compliance with existing and new futures industry policy initiatives.
• Coordination of daily market surveillance with Market Regulation policies.
• Reviewing market dynamics, including price convergence and volatility.

Organizational Structure
The Market Regulation Associate Director, Rules & Regulatory Outreach will report directly to the Chief Regulatory Officer of MIAX Futures.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily network and security traffic monitoring/analysis, review of vulnerability reports, threat intelligence feeds and triage of security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web filtering reports while coordinating follow-up activities specific to CVE's and Alerts, taking ownership of the review process to ensure visibility, escalation of threat concerns and action.
• Off hours and weekend, support/monitoring activities as needed.
• Monitor and Identify areas of network exposure, abnormalities, emerging threats and analyze security events/offenses to determine their root cause, report violations and security related operational incidents.
• Recommend and install appropriate security tools and countermeasures and collaborate on the various projects.

(MIH) is currently seeking to fill a Senior Cloud Engineer – AWS role on our Business Systems Development team.  This is a hands-on-keyboard, highly technical, IC role. In this role, you will own the buildout of various applications and infrastructure in AWS and engineering of hybrid environments connecting our on-prem and cloud in a secure, resilient manner.  

This role will work in close collaboration with Network Engineering, Information Security and Application teams with a clear remit of a cloud-first thinking and supporting both on-prem and cloud roadmaps. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential and candidates should be self-directed and motivated to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

Summary of Key Responsibilities Include

• AWS Solutions Architect SAA-C02 Certification required.
• Deep experience is expected on IAM.
• Architecting cloud solutions using VPCs, Direct Connect, IAM and AWS Control Tower. Experience with multi-account implementations and RCPs/SCPs (Resource and Service Control Policies) is highly desirable.
• Work with SecurityHub and establishing best practices around remediation and ongoing observability.
• Partner with the software architects and network engineers in designing and improving CI/CD processes, and using infrastructure-as-code.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, implement preventive measures.
• Work with the AWS CDK IaC frameworks in Python or NodeJS.
• Participate in applying SRE principles such as availability SLIs, error budgets, incident reviews, alerting and be part of an on-call ROTA.

The Senior Cloud Engineer – AWS will report directly to the Director of DevOps in the Business Systems Development department.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.
• Familiarity with implementing a hybrid networking architecture in a highly regulated environment– such as establishing data perimeters.
• AWS EKS, Load Balancers, EC2 Instances, S3 Storage, Direct Connect Gateways, VPCs, RDS, DynamoDB, Network Firewalls, ECS.
• Experience with Cloudwatch Logs and Alarms and building observability around the AWS solutions.

Qualifications
